Thai passport holders are required to obtain a visa prior to travelling to Ireland.  This does not guarantee entry to Ireland.  Permission to enter Ireland is granted at the discretion of the immigration officer at the port of entry.  For more information on Irish visas consult the visa pages linked on the left of this page or see Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform and Honorary Consulate of Ireland, Bangkok, Thailand

Travellers in both directions should ensure that their passport is valid for at least six months from their intended date of departure.
